ePlanet receives DGPM/DKPM Special Award for Sustainability

The German Society for Psychosomatic Medicine and Medical Psychotherapy (DGPM) and the German College of Psychosomatic Medicine (DKPM) are jointly awarding the Special Award for Sustainability for the fifth time in 2026. The prize honors outstanding projects that contribute in practical ways to sustainable development and the visibility of sustainability and social responsibility within the broader context of psychosomatic medicine.

The award is oriented toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which emphasize the responsibility of science, politics, business, and civil society—as well as that of every individual—for protecting our global foundations of life.

We are happy to share that ePlanet consortium member Lisa Otto, PhD received this year’s DGPM/DKPM Special Award for Sustainability. The prize recognizes the work of the ePlanet project, funded by Erasmus+, which has developed innovative educational resources to support the teaching of Planetary Health in medical education.

At the heart of the project is an interactive online learning game designed to help medical students explore the connections between health, climate, and sustainability in an engaging and practice-oriented way.
